Project for decentralization of social services

In Chisinau there was launched a project “Strengthening public - private partnership for sustainable development of community services for people with disabilities". The project, worth over 273,000 Euros, is funded by the European Union and is implemented by Keystone Association Moldova. The project suggests development of social service “Mobile Team” in districts: Sangerei, Falesti, Ungheni, Anenii Noi and Dubasari. It is estimated that annually about 100 children with disabilities and their families will receive assistance and support at home provided by Mobile Teams.  During the project there will also be undertaken activities meant to change attitude of the society towards people with disabilities and to promote their rights.
Mobile Team is a service that provides social assistance at home for people with disabilities and their families in isolated areas with limited access to specialized services. Mobile team services include assistance and psychological counseling, medical and rehabilitation services, special training to develop skills for independent living in the community, etc.

“Mobile Team” service was developed with support of “Keystone Moldova” in districts Ialoveni, Hancesti, Orhei, Soroca, Edinet, Telenesti, Leova, and in municipalities Chisinau and Balti. | SOMATO-info, 24.01.201
